Ample parking is free and Free State will have concessions available filled with food and beverages from 10AM through 2PM.

Pilot Registration

Registration starts at 8 a.m. There is a $20 fee for pilots and you must have the current years AMA membership & FAA Registration number to fly. Please be prepared to show your AMA & FAA I.D. cards. BOTH ARE REQUIRED.

Come join our passion for model aviation. Free State Aeromodelers invites you to come to our annual celebration of scale rc airplanes as the sky comes alive above Konterra Model Air Park in Laurel Maryland. If you are a builder, a pilot, or just a lover of scale model airplanes, please come visit us for our annual fly-in. Witness all manner of scale model aircraft as they take to the skies – From the graceful flights of WWI era biplanes to the thunderous roar of modern turbine jets, it’s all here and open to the public. Bring the family and invite your friends to come along as well.

Our annual Airplanes of the World event is not a scale contest, rather a fly-in whose goal is a fun, social event with liberal amounts of flying and connecting with fellow aviation enthusiasts. An event where old friends gather and new friendships are made – a scale/ standoff scale model fun-fly and air show. Any scale or stand off scale model aircraft is welcome, rotary or fixed wing.
